Google+ pages let products, brands, and public figures have a presence on Google+ and help them interact with customers, fans, and clients.

To create a page, choose "Pages" from the Google+ navigation menu and click "Create a page." Start by picking a broad category.

If you choose "Local Business or Place," you'll need to search for your business and confirm its location on the map, or create a new place page.

If you fit into another category, pick from the narrower options, "Select a category" from the dropdown, and hit "Next;" if none apply, choose "Other." Now, choose a name for your page, add your website if you have one, and specify what ages your content is appropriate for.

Agree to the Pages Terms and hit "Continue." Click "Get started" to take a tour of your new page dashboard, or click "Open your page" to go right to your page.

After you create your page, you can switch between your personal Google+ account and your page by clicking the avatar in the upper-right corner.
