Your News Feed is key to staying up to date with what's happening in your social circle, as it provides a starting point for reaching out to your friends via "liking," commenting or sharing their content.
You can sort this content by clicking "Sort" at the top right of the News Feed and choosing either the "Top Stories," (that are determined by a number of factors such as how long it's been since you've visited Facebook, your relationship to the person who posted the story, and how many likes and comments it received) or the "Most Recent" which will display stories in the order they're posted.
