Some of the content people upload to Facebook may be offensive to you, or in violation of Facebook's terms of use. You have the option to "report" posts. For example, if you receive a post or link on your timeline that is offensive, click the pencil icon at the top right and then "Report/Mark as Spam." This will mark the post as spam and give you the option to remove it as well as file a more detailed report. Alternatively, you could delete the post by clicking the pencil and then delete, or simply hide it from your timeline. If an offensive post or photo appears on your timeline because you were tagged in it, clicking the pencil icon will give you the option to "Report/Remove Tag," which will lead Facebook to ask you for more details on the nature of the post. An offensive post that appears in your news feed, or on a friend's timeline, can be reported as well. Simply click the downward arrow that appears in the top right corner of the post and click "Report Story or Spam." On a friend's timeline, click the "X" at the top right of a post and then "Report/Mark as Spam."
