To protect your personal information from strangers, Facebook provides connection settings that limit other users' access to your profile and posts. You can manage these settings by clicking the lock icon in the header of any Facebook page, then selecting "See more settings." In the "Who can look me up" section, click the first "Edit" link to choose who can look you up on Facebook by the email address or phone number you provided. Note that you can no longer hide your profile from people searching by name on Facebook, meaning that anyone on Facebook will be able to look you up by your name. Next, click the second "Edit" link, then check the box at the bottom of the field if you'd like the content on your Facebook Timeline to appear in search results. If you check this box, people will be able to find your Facebook profile in search engine results.
